Film fields mainly depends on fictional stories. But documentaries are non fictional films, and is defined as a film or television program that is educational and tells a true story. Which are intended to “document reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education, or maintaining a historical record”
So this time Malabar Festivals Team directing an exclusive international festival only for Documentary Films “Malabar International DocuFest”

Applications for this festival will start receiving from 11th Feb 2022. And the festival will happen in Feb-2023. It will be a two days program.
Festival dates: 09-Feb-2023 & 10-Feb-2023
The first day will start with a round table discussion about “Relation between Culture & Arts and its importance in the current world”, and the day will end up with completing the screening of officially selected Documentaries for the final round Film competition.
The final day will start with the screening of officially selected Documentaries for the final round Film competition, and the day will end up announcing the award winners.

Indian history says that Malabar and each South Indian states & Union territories (Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu & Telangana) have a very Inseparable relationship. So this time Malabar Festivals Team directing an exclusive Music Festival only for South Indian languages (Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Konkani, & Tulu. Also for commonly used Urdu, French & English languages)
South Indian Music Awards (SIMA Fest) is a Music Festival that presents the best music videos of various genres from India’s southern states, in the most beautiful province in South India with a high interest in tourism and culture, Malabar. We focus on innovative approaches to creating music videos.
The moment the atmospheric and sensual music and the visual side are collective with the use of film elements, an artistically valuable music video can be created. Our goal is to create a place where the South Indian culture will connect with the music industry.
Spike Jonze, Gore Verbinski, and many other incredible directors even got their start in music videos. We want to find the succeeding great creator, the next great musician, and the next great music video.

Malabar Festivals Team directing an exclusive international festival only for Females. “Female Film & Foto Fest; a festival dedicated to celebrating and elevating women’s leadership. Our festival highlights films showcasing women’s leadership from underexplored perspectives, women leading in all places and spaces; who are resisting and refuting preconceived notions of all they can be and do. Participation in this festival can help their creative development, and boost the pipeline of women creatives who will be telling these stories and fostering a network of women in film.
Michelle Bachelet (Former Chile’s president, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women) said, “When women are empowered and can claim their rights and access to land, leadership, opportunities and choices, economies grow, food security is enhanced and prospects are improved for current and future generations.”
The Role of Women is noticeable as Caretakers, Educators, Global Volunteers, and in any Workforce. Women are involved in the film industry in all roles, including as film directors, actresses, cinematographers, film producers, film critics, and other film industry professions, though women have been underrepresented in creative positions. Women have always had a presence in film acting, but have consistently been underrepresented, and on average significantly less well paid. On the other hand, many key roles in filmmaking were for many decades done almost entirely by men, such as directors and cinematographers. For instance, the title of ‘auteur’ is typically administered to men, even with women auteurs persevering and growing beside them. In more recent times, women have made inroads and made contributions to many of these fields.
Stories of women leaders, in all their forms and all their complexity, are rarely shown on the big screen. Women whose leadership has been questioned, dismissed, or erased, women who have risen up, spoken truth to power, women who empower their communities, inspire and educate, or women who simply survive – these are the stories we want to see.
Welcoming all female filmmakers to this festival to participate and make this a successful and memorable one.
